Fireplace & Feature Wall Tile

Turn a plain fireplace or a blank wall into the center of the room. Licensed, bonded and insured, with over 30 years of experience.

Fireplaces & Feature Walls from Upland to Pasadena

A lot of fireplaces are stuck with dated brick, old tile or plain painted drywall. Refacing one with stacked stone or large porcelain panels changes the whole room, and it's usually less of a project than people expect.

Big panels and stone are heavy and unforgiving, so the wall has to be prepped right and every piece has to line up. Frank uses leveling clips on large-format tile so the panels sit flush, and he maps out the wall around the firebox, mantel and TV before he starts.

What Frank handles

  • Stacked stone fireplaces
  • Large-format porcelain fireplace walls
  • Floor-to-ceiling feature walls
  • Hearths and surrounds
  • Accent walls
  • Layouts planned around TVs and mantels

How the Job Goes

You deal with Frank directly, from the estimate to the last grout line.

  1. Strip and prep. Old brick, tile or veneer comes off and the wall gets repaired and prepped to hold the weight.
  2. Map it out. Frank draws the layout right on the wall, working around the firebox, outlets and where the TV and mantel will go.
  3. Set and finish. Stone or panels go up level and flush, with clean edges at the corners and the ceiling.

Common Questions

Can you tile over my existing brick fireplace?

Sometimes. It depends on the shape the brick is in and the look you want. Often it's better to strip it first. Frank will tell you which makes sense when he sees it.

Can you plan around a TV mount?

Yes. Tell Frank where you want the TV, the outlets and the mantel, and he'll lay out the wall so everything lines up.

Stacked stone or large panels?

Stacked stone gives you texture and a more rustic look. Large porcelain panels are clean and modern with very few grout lines. Frank has done both and can show you what each looks like.
